Honored by State

Redmond

Hudson Photography, located in downtown Bremerton, has been named the “Small Private Employer of the Year” by the Governor’s Office on Disability Issues and Employment and Washington State Business Leaders Network.

Rex-zane Rudee, who owns the studio with his son, Quinn, accepted the award at the event at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond Friday morning. Hudson Photographic Artistry was nominated by the Holly Ridge Center, on behalf of a Holly Ridge client who has been an employee at the studio for over a year.

Companies and organizations that include and support individuals with disabilities through recruitment, hiring, promotion and job retention were honored in nine categories. Small private employers are considered those with fewer than 25 employees. One other Kitsap County company, Companion Animal Wellness Center of Poulsbo, was nominated.
